Sizing

At Champions of the World, we want to help you find the perfect fit for your gear. Whether you’re measuring your body or comparing it to an existing piece of clothing, our size guides are here to assist you.

Understanding Fit Types #

Different products may come in various fit types. Here’s a quick guide to understanding the differences:

  • Relaxed Fit:
A looser, more comfortable fit. Your usual size will have a bit more room, ideal for a casual, roomy look and feel.
  • Regular Fit:
True to size, offering a balanced silhouette—not too tight and not too loose. Matches your standard size.
  • Tight Fit:
A form-fitting option designed to hug the body closely. Consider sizing up if you prefer more room. Ideal for a sleek, athletic look.

How to Measure for the Right Size #

We offer two methods for measuring to help you find the right fit:

1. Measuring Your Body #

To ensure accuracy, measure your body directly. Here’s how:

  • Chest/Bust:
Measure around the fullest part of your chest or bust, keeping the tape measure level under your arms and across your back.
  • Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, typically the narrowest part of your torso.
  • Hips:
Measure around the fullest part of your hips, standing with your feet together.
  • Inseam:
Measure from the top of your inner thigh down to the bottom of your ankle.

2. Measuring a Piece of Clothing #

Alternatively, you can measure a piece of clothing that fits you well:

  • Chest/Bust (Seam to Seam):
Lay the garment flat and measure from one armpit seam to the other across the chest or bust area.
  • Waist (Seam to Seam):
Measure across the waist of the garment, from seam to seam.
  • Hips (Seam to Seam):
Measure across the fullest part of the hips, from seam to seam.
  • Inseam:
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom hem along the inside leg.

Understanding the Relationship Between Body and Clothing Measurements #

These two measurement methods are interchangeable to a degree:

  • To match body measurements with clothing measurements, simply halve your body measurements to compare them with the flat, seam-to-seam clothing measurements.
  • Conversely, double the clothing measurements to estimate the corresponding body measurement.

Using Our Size Guides #

We provide two types of size guides to help you make an informed decision:

  1. Generic Size Guide:
    • Available next to the product description on most items.
    • Offers standard measurements for common sizes (e.g., Small, Medium, Large) to help you find the right fit.
  2. Bespoke Size Guide:
    • Where possible, we also offer a bespoke size guide tailored specifically to the product you’re viewing.
    • This guide provides detailed measurements unique to that item, ensuring a more precise fit.

Choosing the Right Size #

When selecting your size, consider the following:

  • Check the Product Description:
Always read the product description for any notes on sizing. Some items may have specific recommendations (e.g., “Runs small, consider sizing up”).
  • Fit Type:
Refer to the fit type (Relaxed, Regular, Tight) to decide whether you want to stick to your usual size or adjust up or down.
  • Refer to the Size Guide:
Use the provided size guide to match your measurements with the correct size. If you’re between sizes, think about whether you prefer a tighter or looser fit and choose accordingly.

If the size you choose doesn’t quite fit, don’t worry. Champions of the World offers a straightforward exchange process, so you can find the size that works best for you. Just be sure to return the item in its original, unworn condition within 30 days of delivery.
